As a parish councillor, I represent residents in Beveley Ward and take part in the work and decisions of Ketley Parish Council.

A big part of my role is listening to residents, raising local concerns, supporting community activity and helping people find the right organisation when an issue sits outside the Parish Council’s responsibilities.

You can contact me about local concerns, ideas or questions relating to Beveley Ward.

This might include issues around public spaces, maintenance, fly-tipping, parking, community projects, local events or something you feel should be brought to the attention of the Parish Council.

These areas reflect the priorities I set out when I stood for election: A Strong Voice, Supporting Our Community, Cleaner, Safer Public Spaces, and Visible, Accessible & Reliable Representation.

There are several different councils, organisations and services responsible for different things locally, and it is not always obvious who deals with what.

If the issue is outside the Parish Council’s remit, I can often help you identify the appropriate organisation or signpost you towards the right service.

Sometimes I can raise or follow up an issue, depending on what it is and which organisation is responsible.

In other cases, it may be quicker or more appropriate for you to make the initial report directly. If so, I can help point you towards the correct place to do that.

Unfortunately, no.

As a councillor I can listen, raise concerns, ask questions and follow matters up, but I cannot guarantee the outcome or instruct another council, organisation or service to take a particular action.

What I can promise is to take reasonable concerns seriously and be clear with you about what I can do.

My elected role is to represent Beveley Ward, so enquiries from residents of the ward will normally be my priority.

However, if you are contacting me about something that directly affects Beveley Ward or the wider Ketley community, you are still welcome to get in touch.

No. I was elected as an Independent councillor.

For me, parish council matters should be considered on their local merits, with the interests of residents and the community at the centre of decisions.

I was elected as an Independent, and in my role as a parish councillor I do not believe my personal political views should determine how I represent our community or how I treat the people who live here.

For me, local representation is about looking at each issue on its merits, listening to residents and doing what I genuinely believe is right for our area. People will naturally have different political opinions, but that should never get in the way of treating one another with respect, fairness and kindness.

I want what is best for our community. My approach is to act with integrity, be honest about what I can and cannot do, and make decisions for the right reasons. Those qualities can sometimes feel missing from modern politics, but they are the standards I expect of myself as your councillor.

That is what people before politics means to me.

I was elected as the Independent Parish Councillor for Beveley Ward in the Ketley Parish Council by-election held on 3 September 2026.

I will always try to acknowledge and respond to messages as soon as reasonably possible.

Some enquiries may take longer where I need to contact another organisation, gather information or wait for a response. If something is taking time, I will aim to keep you updated rather than leave you wondering what is happening.

It is helpful to include:

• a brief explanation of the issue

• the street or general location concerned

• when the problem started or when you noticed it

• whether you have already reported it

• any reference number you have received

• photographs, if they are relevant and appropriate

Information you provide will only be used as necessary to respond to your enquiry, provide information or signposting, or help progress the matter you have raised.

Yes. You do not need to understand how the different layers of local government work before getting in touch. If I cannot help directly, I will do my best to point you towards someone who can.

I volunteer in a few different ways locally.

I am a Licensed Chaperone for children in performance, and I work mostly with a local musical theatre group. I also help as a chaperone at The Polar Express at Telford Steam Railway during November and December.

I also volunteer at Telford Steam Railway on some Sundays between April and September, working in the shop and selling tickets.

I have also been a Street Champion since 2002, helping to keep our local area tidy by picking up litter, often alongside my daughter.

I enjoy being involved in local organisations and giving my time to things that bring people together, support others and help make our community a better place to live.

I work in marketing, and have done for around 10 years. It is a role that involves a lot of communication, organisation and understanding what matters to different people, all of which are useful skills in my work as a councillor too.
